LinkAssist team named as award finalists

The Victorian Disability Awards recognise people and organisations who make outstanding contributions to empowering people with a disability and creating an inclusive community.

The awards celebrate excellence and acknowledge the achievements of individuals, teams and organisations who work with vision and commitment to support people with a disability achieve their goals and aspirations.

This year's awards included a new category of Excellence in Accessible Technology and Communications.

We were delighted  that Daryl Kee (Executive Manager, Marketing) and Rachel Sharp (Communications Co-ordinator) have been announced as finalists in this award for the development of linkAssist.

linkAssist is our free online noticeboard, the first of its kind in the world developed specifically for use by the Disability Community.

After a successful live trial within the NDIS Barwon Region, linkAssist was formally launched state-wide to all Victorians on April 18.

The 2016 Victorian Disability Awards are a joint initiative between National Disability Services and the Department of Health and Human Services.
